- GMR Sports to develop a world-class Satellite Sports City in Bharat Future City, positioning Telangana as a global sports hub
Hyderabad, 10 December 2025: GMR Sports announced the signing of strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, held at Bharat Future City. The partnership reinforces GMR’s commitment to supporting Telangana’s futuristic vision under the Telangana Rising agenda, which aims to transform the state into a global investment and innovation hub.
GMR Sports with Dubai Sports City as its knowledge partner will focus on developing a Satellite Sports City within Bharat Future City. This ambitious project will feature state-of-the-art training facilities, international-standard stadiums, sports science, high performance centers, rehabilitation centers, and allied infrastructure, positioning Telangana as a premier destination for sports excellence and global sporting events. The initiative aims to nurture and develop athletes, equipping them to compete at global sporting events.
