Delhi Airport now houses India's first General Aviation terminal facility for Private Jets

Continuing with the motto of pioneering efforts that supports and boosts the aviation industry of the country, GMR led Delhi Airport has launched India's first exclusive General Aviation terminal facility for private jets. The terminal has been built with an aim to support the movement and processing of passengers flying through chartered flights from the airport. This new facility offers exclusive city side car parking and convenient access from and to the city. The terminal is ready to cater to 150 Private Jet movements on a daily basis, including Code C type aircraft (which are 50-seater charter aircraft and the biggest in their category). Developed in the midst of pandemic, the terminal complies to all safety and precautionary measures laid down by the Government of India.

With Delhi Airport's General Aviation Terminal, a long standing demand of India's uber rich to cater to their private jets has finally been fulfilled. The facility promises faster turnaround of business jets and chartered planes, saving them from the trouble of competing for taxiing slots with commercial flights in general passenger terminals. This development has paved way for the growth of general aviation sector in the country. The Terminal can handle over 50 passengers every hour, thus ensuring that passengers board their flights on time, every time. With the GA Terminal and the newly developed General Aviation Aircraft Parking stands being co-located, passengers will find it more convenient to travel to and from the aircraft for boarding or de-boarding in no time. The newly developed Apron is spread over 8 lakhs sq ft area with 57 dedicated bays for parking of General Aviation Aircraft.
