Encouraging Comfort Through Simple Joys
Comfort during travel is beyond infrastructure. It also includes moments of joy. As part of the program, children receive an INR 350 food and beverage voucher, encouraging them to enjoy specially curated kids’ menus at airport outlets.
This small but thoughtful gesture allows families to relax, take a break, and enjoy a meal together turning waiting time into a positive shared experience rather than a logistical challenge.
Strong Adoption and Positive Feedback
Since its inauguration on 5 February 2026, Family@DEL has seen promising usage across all terminals. On an average day, it facilitates 200–240 family groups at Terminal 3, 150–180 at Terminal 1 and 40–60 at Terminal 2. This indicates a strong demand for assisted family travel experiences.
Passenger feedback also reflects the success of the program. Among the 581 responses, an overwhelming 575 were positive and not a single response was negative. This response shows how deeply families value care-driven interventions that simplify their journey.
An Airport That Leads with Empathy
Family@DEL is not just a service. It is a statement about how passenger experience should be designed. In an era where airports are becoming increasingly digital, Delhi Airport has taken a balanced approach. It ensures human care remains at the centre of the journey.
By acknowledging that not all passengers are tech-savvy and that families need additional support, the airport is redefining what it means to be world-class. It is not just about speed and scale but about how cared for passengers feel.
Setting a New Benchmark for Family Travel
This initiative by Delhi Airport is setting a new benchmark for family-friendly air travel in India. It demonstrates how airports can be smart and sophisticated without being scary or intimidating. Airports can continue to be efficient and streamlined without losing their human touch.
As families navigate the airport terminals with warm guidance and support, they know they are in an airport that cares for them. And for millions of families travelling each year, this care makes all the difference.
