The Farukhnagar-Jadcherla highway project is a 58 km stretch situated on NH7 between Farukhnagar & Jadcherla on the Bangalore-Hyderabad Highway. The project, executed on a Build, Operate and Transfer basis using the Toll model, was completed in two and a half years and inaugurated in February 2009.
Won through an international competitive bid from National Highways Authority of India for a concession period of 20 years, the scope of the project involved widening of the existing 2-lanes to 4-lanes and improvement, operation and maintenance, rehabilitation and strengthening of the existing road. A 6 lane state of the art toll plaza for toll collection was also constructed as part of the project.
Four laning of the stretch has eased the flow of traffic and provided a tremendous boost to trade and commerce in the region. The road has been built to world-class standards providing users a safe and fast means to commute.
