The GMR Group has won yet another road project involving the strengthening and improvement of the existing two lane stretch to 4 lane between Shivrampalli / Faruknagar and Jadcherla on NH -7 in State of Andhra Pradesh. The concession agreement for the project covering a distance of about 58 kms was signed between NHAI and the GMR Jadcherla Expressway Limited on 20th February 2006. The project will be constructed on a Build, Operate and Transfer basis using the Toll model.

The corridor will be the main line for the people commuting between Hyderabad city and the proposed new International Airport at Shamshabad, again being developed on a Greenfield basis by GMR Group. This besides, the road will also connect the state of Hyderabad with Bangalore and Chennai.

GMR Group achieved the financial closure for Thondapalli - Jadcherla road project on 18 Aug, 2006.
