institutions with the aim of bringing quality education to the under-served
areas and sections of the community.

| GMR Varalakshmi DAV School |
|
The Foundation focuses on making quality primary education accessible in remote areas. GMRVF has built full-fledged school with the necessary infrastructure at Rajam during 2001. The School was taken over by DAV (Dayanand Anglo Vedic Society) College Managing Committee New Delhi, w.e.f 01/06/2007 and was renamed as GMR Varalakshmi DAV Public School. The students pay a nominal fee, and the Foundation absorbs the financial deficit of the school.

| GMR DAV is a co-educational, English Medium school affiliated to the CBSE Board. Over 800 students from in and around Rajam study at GMRV DAV. At present, there are 2 sections per class up to Std. VI and every year one section is added to the succeeding class. |
| 32 students of the GMRVF adopted children scheme study in GMRV DAV. |
| The third batch of 23 students who appeared for the X CBSE examination brought 16 Distinctions, 5 First classes and 2 Second Classes. |

| Seethamahalakshmi DAV Public School (SMLDAV) |

On the lines of GMRV DAV, GMRVF has also built and handed over a full-fledged school at Sankili, to DAV Society. SML DAV was established in 2004 and follows the CBSE syllabus. The school presently has classes from K.G to Std IX. Class X would be added next academic year.
The Foundation facilitates scholarships to ensure that deserving students, irrespective of their financial backgrounds, have access to these institutions.
For instance, 96 students who are children of sugarcane farmers, are given concessions / Freeships during this academic year. 7 students of the GMRVF adopted children scheme also study in SML DAV.

| St. Ann’s Varalakshmi Vidyashram : |

| The Foundation has also constructed and handed over St. Ann’s Varalakshmi Vidyashram, a full-fledged school at Rajam to St. Ann’s Missionaries for administration and management. |

| GMR Chinmaya Vidyalaya : |
|
To enable high quality education in the Shamshabad area, construction of a school was planned in the financial year 2007-08. The construction work for the same was completed by May 08. The infrastructure has been build to house more than 900 children from classes KG upto High school. Computer labs, library, fully equipped classrooms, common spaces, open ground, staff area, lobby are all part of the school from the start. Construction was completed by SEW Constructions, a leading construction company to give appropriate quality for the school.
school management has been handed over to Chinmaya Mission which runs more than 80 schools across the country. It started the academic session form this year in June 08 and more than 450 children have taken admissions upto 7th class (the school would gradually move upto 10th with one class added every year). It is a CBSE English medium school.
As part of the Foundation’s initiative to support poor but meritorious students for good quality education, tests were conducted in all the adopted schools of GMRVF around Shamshabad airport for admission to GMR Chinmaya Vidyalaya. 38 such students were identified whose fees and all other expenses will be sponsored through Foundation to this school. The students have been admitted in classes II to IV. |
