GMR Renewable Energy Limited has developed a 2.1 MW wind project at Moti Sindodhi Village, Kutch District in Gujarat.

The Wind Turbine Generator (WTG), developed by Suzlon is the first of its kind in India with a hub height of 80M and Rotor diameter of 95M, designed to yield higher PLFs compared to conventional WTGs.

The plant, commissioned in July 2011 is estimated to generate about 53 lacs units per annum at a PLF of close to 28%.

Eligible for RECs (Renewable Energy Certificate), the plant has been registered with Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA).
